Containing group: Morionini

Introduction

Six species are attributed to this genus, all restricted to Africa. A key to species was provided by Straneo (1949). It is very similar to and may prove to be congeneric with Platynodes. Study of the types for all included species is needed.

Characteristics

Generally formed like a large, slightly depressed Morion but with sharply carinate elytral intervals 7-8.
